MANILA – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Friday reported it has surpassed its July 2025 collection target by P1.094 billion or 1.3 percent. Based on a preliminary report, the bureau collected a total of P85.459 billion, surpassing its P84.365 billion target.
The July collection is so far the highest monthly collection this year, reflecting a 6.4% increase from the P80.355 billion collected in July 2024 and a significant rise from the P77.035 billion posted in June 2025.
From January to July 2025, the BOC collected a total of P544.230 billion in revenues, reinforcing its critical role in supporting the fiscal and economic agenda of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
The BOC attributed the July performance to the combined efforts of all 17 collection districts, as well as targeted revenue sources, including collections from unpaid post-entry modifications, government importations under the Tax Expenditure Fund (TEF) amounting to P3.103 billion, and the Post-Clearance Audit Group’s (PCAG) collection of P136.94 million.
It noted that the positive collection was achieved despite a 4.5-day suspension of operations due to severe weather conditions that disrupted port activities and customs processing nationwide. Since assuming office, BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno has championed good governance through reforms anchored on transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
“This achievement shows the power of good governance. With integrity and focus, we will continue to deliver results that benefit the Filipino people and support the President’s vision for nation-building,” he said in a statement. (PNA) (Infographic from BOC)
