President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has impressed many ordinary Filipinos who now regularly flock to Malacanang Palace at night to enjoy its Christmas tree and lantern displays.
The public can enter the Malacañang Palace Grounds to view the Malacañang Christmas Tree and parols (lanterns) and attend Simbang Gabi masses until December 24.
Under his “Tara sa Palasyo” program, the President ordered the opening of the Palace grounds to the public on December18 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. The free access will remain until December 24. Palace insiders said that more than 2,120 ordinary Pinoys have visited the Palace last Tuesday alone.
Many of the visitors also attended the traditional Simbang Gabi mass held in front of the Mabini Hall.
